Happy Halloween

Halloween has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I remember dressing up as “The Fly” as a 5 year old & how much walking door to door with my parents meant to me.

Halloween is a kids holiday & we as adults need to make sure that it’s safe for them.

But what about the other kids? The kids who make our chocolate.

There are currently allegations against most of the worlds chocolate manufacturers for using both child & forced labor.

The International Labor Rights Fund has even gone so far as to sue the US government for not prohibiting the import of articles made through child labor (i.e. chocolate)

Now we’re not saying not to celebrate Halloween, just to make a few responsible purchases.

Buy Fair Trade Chocolate & candy while it doesn’t guarantee that it’s completely slavery free, it’s a huge step in the right direction.

Happy Halloween, all kids should get to have a great childhood.

Avoid Child Labor & Slavery, buy Fair Trade Chocolate
